Visits to your website and social media channels are inbound marketing, as visitors do so because they have been prompted. Outbound marketing can include email campaigns, newsletters (print and digital), radio shows, referrals, newspaper columns, and client events. This type of marketing attracts the attention of clients and prospects and directs them to your inbound resources.
It is a bit amusing when advisors believe a website, by itself, will meet their prospecting needs. An advisor needs to have both inbound and outbound marketing tools and techniques to complete the marketing circuit and get more visitors to their website and social media channels.
